Madrid In Motion kicks off the season in Miami this weekend

From April 3 to 5, Maikel van der Vleuten, Jack Whitaker, and Victor Bettendorf will represent Madrid In Motion at the first stop of the 2026 GCL, which this year kicks off in the vibrant city of Miami.

The team, sponsored by Massimo Dutti, Marqués de Riscal, and Van Mossel, returns to a venue that brings back great memories: in 2023, they reached the top of the podium there, a result they will undoubtedly aim to repeat in this new edition.

Van der Vleuten competes in the United States with his loyal Beauville Z N.O.P., as well as Quastor vd Heffinck, a horse with which he has recently delivered outstanding performances at the CSI5* Dutch Masters and Saut Hermès.

Meanwhile, Luxembourg’s Victor Bettendorf arrives in Miami with Atchoum de la Roque Enclosed and GIBBS Un Prince, two horses from his stable with which he has shown great consistency, achieving excellent results in his most recent outings in Valencia.

British rider Jack Whitaker will compete with Izara des Dames and Skyfall OS. With Izara, he has secured important placings, including a 2nd place at the CSI3* in Denmark (LR Medium Tour Final 1.45m), as well as victory in the 1.40m Grand Prix at Addington Equestrian and a recent clear round in the 1.50m LR Grand Prix at Sentower Park. With Skyfall OS, he has also achieved notable results, including a 6th place in a 1.45m class in Herning and an 8th place in the CSI3* Big Tour 1.50m LR at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Show.

With a combination of experience, quality, and a strong start to the season, Madrid In Motion heads to Miami aiming to kick off the league with momentum and fight for the first championship points.
