A Coruña, July 12, 2026 – The final day of the CSI A Coruña got underway at Casas Novas Equestrian Center with a commanding performance from Nirvana Hank Amaya. The young Mexican rider claimed victory in both CSI1* classes held on Sunday morning.
She first won the ClipMyHorse.TV Trophy aboard Manna Hacal, before adding a second victory in the DHL Grand Prix, the feature class of the CSI1*, riding Iztaccihuatl Hacal. The double triumph capped an outstanding three-day campaign for Hank Amaya, who recorded three victories and consistently finished among the leading riders throughout the competition.
The DHL Grand Prix – Champagne Malard Trophy attracted 21 horse-and-rider combinations, with only four producing faultless rounds over the 1.40m course.
In the jump-off, the Mexican rider delivered another clear round in 36.98 seconds. Only Spain's Marcos Díaz Rodríguez, riding Deus de Tus, came close to challenging her victory with an excellent performance, but his time of 38.88 seconds left him in second place.
The other two riders who reached the jump-off incurred faults while attempting to better Hank Amaya's time. Spain's Lucía Fernández Hidalgo, riding Kings Queen JT Z, a mare that has only recently joined her stable, finished fourth with four faults, while Gonzalo Busca had two rails down aboard Ouija, also finishing fourth. Fifth place went to Asturian junior rider Daniel Ocaña, riding Dancing de L'Enclos, who posted the fastest time among the riders with four faults in the first round.
Nirvana Hank Amaya received the winner's trophy from Miriam Gagna, CEO of DHL Express Spain, while Enrique Mateo Ortuño, CEO of Mateo Wines, presented the Champagne Malard Award to Marcos Díaz Rodríguez as the highest-placed Spanish rider in the DHL Grand Prix.
