15 May 2025All horses have satisfactorily passed the veterinary inspection
The Longines Global Champions Tour - 114 CSI Madrid starts tomorrow at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, and all preparations are running smoothly. Throughout this morning, the horses participating in the competition have successfully passed the veterinary inspection, an essential requirement that certifies their good physical condition to compete during the weekend.
In this edition, the CSI5* Madrid brings together a total of 60 riders, 118 horses and representatives from 18 countries, including several of the best pairs of the FEI ranking, as well as Olympic medalists and World Cup champions. This international event will also include a CSI1* with 84 riders, 110 horses and participants from 17 countries. In total, the competition will feature 144 riders, 228 horses and representation from 27 countries.
This afternoon, the warm up is taking place, in which about 100 horses will make a brief tour to familiarize themselves with the emblematic green track of the CCVM, recognized for its technical quality and its long history.
Tomorrow, Friday, the competition will officially start at 09:00 am with the Madrid Horse Week Trophy, followed by the MARCA Trophy and, at 11:45 am, the Air Europa Trophy, all of them corresponding to the CSI1*.
In the afternoon it will be the turn of the CSI5*, with the celebration of the two rounds of the Marqués de Riscal Trophy, a team event corresponding to the Global Champions League (GCL), in which the 17 teams that make up the league participate. This will undoubtedly be the great protagonist of the first day, with obstacles reaching 1.60 m and the excitement of seeing the best-ranked teams of the championship in action.
In addition to the sporting competition, the Club de Campo offers an extensive leisure program for all audiences. The commercial village includes fashion, gastronomy and entertainment for the whole family. For the little ones, the ¡HOLA! charity Pony Park is back, the proceeds of which will go to the Intheos Foundation, as well as the Eulen Group's children's activities area, the Porsche scalextric and other attractions. There will also be live music on the Mahou stage and a full range of food trucks for all tastes.
For those who cannot attend in person, the CSI1* races can be followed for free in more than 200 countries through ClipMyHorse.TV, while the CSI5* races will be broadcasted on GCTV, the official channel of the circuit.
