The RFHE National Show Jumping League 2026 got underway at Moura Tours Valencia
27 Apr 2026This weekend, the first of the seven competitions that make up the RFHE National Show Jumping League 2026 was held in Valencia. In its fifth edition, the country’s top-level national circuit features seven ranking events.
Moura Tours Valencia hosted this opening leg of the league, which attracted nearly 400 horse-and-rider combinations and concluded on Sunday with the two ranking classes: the Verisure Grand Prix of the Silver League (1.40m) and the Moura Tours Valencia Grand Prix of the Gold League (1.50m).
The first of these classes saw 63 combinations compete, with eight producing clear rounds to qualify for the jump-off, where two young Basque female riders dominated. The best of them, and winner of the Verisure Grand Prix, was Uxue Arruza riding the veteran Clarín de Llamosas, delivering a faultless round in 34.33 seconds. She was followed by another junior rider from the Basque equestrian scene, Haizea Garmendia, who also jumped clear in 36.54 seconds. Third place went to Ismael García Roque with Daikon (0/37.75). These were the only three double clear rounds of the class.
In the Gold League Grand Prix, the Moura Tours Valencia Grand Prix, 26 combinations took part and, in this case, only three managed to complete the 1.50m course without penalties. The only rider to produce a second clear round in the jump-off was Catalan rider Alfons Roquet, who had already won the feature class the previous day. The rider from La Cerdanya secured victory with Sandro Eclipse in 41.13 seconds, while Ángel Cerdido Calderón had one rail down with Yira de Olid and finished second.
Third place went to a rider from the Valencian Community, Benjamín Fernández Alanzor, who with Ritchie Ricardo Vr also had one rail down in the jump-off, but in a slower time than Cerdido.
The next stop of the LNS RFHE 2026 will be at the Real Sociedad Hípica de Valladolid, from May 29 to 31, as the CSN5* that was due to take place at the Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid from May 1 to 3 has been postponed.
