Longines League of Nations™ Final and Ten Top-Level Competitions
From October 2–5, Barcelona will once again become the world capital of equestrian sport, hosting the Longines League of Nations™ Final, featuring the eight best teams on the planet: Germany, Belgium, the United States, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, and the Netherlands, along with Spain as the host nation.

The Spanish team will include Mariano Martínez Bastida, Iván Serrano Sáez, Armando Trapote, Catalonia’s own Imma Roquet, with Santiago Núñez Riva as reserve.

The sports program consists of ten top-level competitions. Highlights include the two major night classes: the Gran Premio Ciudad de Barcelona (Friday) and the Copa de SM la Reina – Freixenet Trophy – Generalitat de Catalunya Prize (Saturday). Both coincide with the traditional gala dinners and will feature an equestrian performance by Córdoba Ecuestre, blending equestrian artistry and flamenco to light up the nights at the Real Club de Polo.

The grand finale will take place on Sunday with the Longines League of Nations™ Final, the most prestigious team competition on the international calendar.

STATEMENTS

Pablo Sánchez Marquiegui, Real Club de Polo de Barcelona President:
“It is a source of pride for the Real Club de Polo to host the 113th edition of CSIO Barcelona, and to do so on the Olympic arena, which is the best possible stage for the Longines League of Nations™ Final. Few events can boast such tradition and excellence, and this can only be explained through the club’s commitment to improving its facilities year after year so that an event of this caliber shines. It is also thanks to the enthusiasm of our members and the dedication of the club’s team. A very special thank you goes to Longines, which for almost a quarter of a century has trusted and supported CSIO Barcelona as well as the equestrian world globally. I would also like to acknowledge our premium sponsors—CaixaBank, Estrella Damm, Freixenet, CocaCola, Negrita, and La Vanguardia. This year we are delighted to welcome CUPRA as a new premium sponsor and the official car of CSIO Barcelona.”

Santi Mercé, CSIO Barcelona President:
“This is Spain’s oldest international sporting event, and it will once again host the 12th consecutive edition of the League of Nations Final, bringing together the world’s top eight teams. There will be ten world-class competitions and no fewer than 12 Olympic medalists competing here, including the world’s No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 riders. And of course, we must not forget the outstanding leisure area represented by PoloPark Calvet, with its 20,000 square meters dedicated to entertainment.”

Abel García, Secretary General for Sport and Physical Activity of the Generalitat de Catalunya:
“For Catalonia and the Generalitat, CSIO Barcelona is part of the framework that strengthens sport in our land. The event has our full support as part of our strategy to give momentum to what happens here in Catalonia and project it to the world.”

David Escudé, Barcelona City Council Sports Councillor and Delegate President of the Sports and Physical Activity Area of the Barcelona Provincial Council:
“CSIO Barcelona offers four days of top-level competition, but it has also become a meeting point for Barcelona’s citizens. It is much more than a sporting event—it is also a social one. And every year, it continues to grow. It’s no coincidence that this is the 113th edition, but rather the result of constant improvement that makes each year better than the last.”
