Yeguada Finca Maeza continues to pursue excellence with every edition of its International Show Jumping Competition (CSI), working year after year to enhance the experience for all attendees. Among the main novelties of this year’s event is the addition of a new in-house gastronomic offering led by the renowned Restaurante Abrelatas, one of Asturias’ leading culinary references and a regular collaborator of the stud farm following the success of the various gastronomic events held throughout the year.

Under the direction of chef Borja Alcázar, Abrelatas has established itself as one of the region’s most outstanding restaurants thanks to a concept that combines respect for local produce and Asturian culinary traditions with a modern, creative, and bold approach to cooking.

Its achievements have been recognized through several prestigious distinctions, including a Solete award from the Repsol Guide, inclusion among Spain’s Best Bars 2026 by Tapas magazine, the 2025–2026 Spanish Asturian Pote Championship title, and a place in the Macarfi Guide’s Top 100 Restaurants in Asturias. Most recently, the restaurant gained international recognition when its traditional Asturian-style tripe ranked among the ten best recipes in the world at the 9th World Tripe Championship held in Zamora.

During CSI Maeza 2026, the Abrelatas team will oversee the event’s various food and beverage areas, delivering a high-quality culinary experience designed to cater to all audiences.

A Culinary Offering for Everyone

The café marquee and burger food truck will remain open throughout the day, offering a wide range of sweet and savoury options. From Iberian ham sandwiches and traditional favourites such as handmade croquettes to gourmet burgers prepared with “Burbuey” beef, visitors will be able to enjoy a carefully curated selection designed to complement every moment of the competition.

VIP Restaurant

The VIP Restaurant will be one of the most exclusive spaces at the event. Guests, sponsors, and partners will enjoy a refined menu created by Abrelatas, showcasing the authentic flavours of Asturian cuisine together with Borja Alcázar’s distinctive culinary signature.

Accredited Participants’ Restaurant

The event will also feature a dedicated restaurant for riders, teams, grooms, technical staff, and other accredited personnel, operated by Abrelatas. This space will offer full menus for €25, ensuring access to high-quality dining throughout the competition.

With this new addition, CSI Maeza further strengthens its commitment to delivering a complete event experience where top-level sport, hospitality, and high-quality Asturian gastronomy come together to make every day of the competition truly unforgettable.
