The team sponsored by Massimo Dutti and Marqués de Riscal, Madrid in Motion, is third in the global ranking of the Global Champions League after its performance in the Portuguese city of Cascais.
The riders Mark Mcauley, Eric Van der Vleuten and Eduardo Álvarez Aznar have been in charge of keeping the team in positions in the ninth round of the calendar.
In the first qualifying on Thursday, the Irish rider Mark Mcauley and the Spaniard Eduardo Álvarez Aznar performed well with their horses "Miebello" and "Pleville Rockfeller”. Four points escaped to the Irish, those who faced with in the second round that took place on Saturday afternoon.
This time the turn was for Eduardo and the Dutch Eric Van der Vleuten who competed with the team again after winning in the Global Champions League in Cannes with his son Maikel.
First it was Eric who went out on track with his 13-year-old mare "Wunschkind", playing a course without fail that gave hope to the team. The turn has come then to Eduardo and his 14 years SF. Another fantastic zero allowed the team to be in fifth place, but, and more important, maintain the third position in the global ranking.
A team in top form that next weekend, will have a new opportunity in the tenth venue of the League, this time in Monaco.
