For over 20 years now, and coinciding with the start of summer, the people from Santander await with great expectation the arrival of the International Showjumping Competition held at the Palacio de la Magdalena, that over the time has become one of the best events of the international calendar of our country. In its twentieth anniversary, it is a benchmark and continues to host the jet of the equestrian scene.
The next June 28, 29 and 30 around 100 jumping horses and their riders of 5 different nationalities, will compete in one of the most spectacular grass arena in the country.
Riders like Iván Serrano, Basque settled in Cantabria, member of the Spanish team and seventh in the national ranking, Kevin González de Zárate who, in recent times, has achieved an unbeatable track record both nationally and internationally or the Canary Ismael García Roque, rider of Sergio Álvarez Moya stables, will visit the coastal city with the intention of taking the precious trophy. In addition, we will have Mexican, New Zealand, British and Portuguese representation.
Throughout the weekend there will be 9 classes of different heights that will culminate on Sunday with the Caixabank Grand Prix, the most important weekend class, with jumps at a height of 1.45m and which will be broadcast on Teledeporte.
This is a special event, on the seashore, cozy, familiar, but with a lot of level "It is a boutique-type event in which the intention is that riders and horses as well as visitors, enjoy themselves to the fullest. An event in which, in addition, there are bets. A very strong pull for the public" Tell us from Oxer Sport, the organization responsible.
A competition of first international level that has become a meeting place not only for fans of equestrian competition but also families who want to enjoy a different weekend enlivened with shopping areas, foodtrucks and playgrounds with workshops and pony park.
