At 11.30 am the second day of competition at the International Show Jumping Competition of Maeza began with the class sponsored by SER Radio Asturias. A class with a height of 1.25m in which the Galician Roi Calviño with Julieta del amor were the only ones able to finish the second phase of the course with a time under 29 seconds making their way to the first position.

The Galician rider was closely followed by the Mexican Ángela González Muñoz and the rider from Madrid, Álvaro Mateos. Riding Caijo, the international pair maintained the good streak they had been carrying over from the CSI2* Santander last weekend, where they were also able to pick up a cockade.

Álvaro Mateos was leading the class at the beginning but finally finished in third position with a clear round and a time of 29.30 seconds riding Worissa S Whinny, an 18 year old mare that the rider from Madrid has been riding since a few months ago.

Antonio Lobeto, Commercial Director of Grupo Radio Asturias and member of the Equestrian Federation of the Principality of Asturias was responsible for presenting the trophy to the winner Roi Calviño. Angela received the plaque from Chrisina Bares, daughter of the owners of Yeguada Finca Maeza. Álvaro Arrieta, President of Oxer Sport did the same with the third classified.

A good start to the day, which will be followed by the Suzuki Trophy, an exciting competition with a jump offr, and then at 18.15 the Caixabank Trophy, a competition at 1.40m.

Entry to the event is open to the public throughout the weekend and is free of charge. In addition, you can follow the competition live on the ClipMyHorse.tv.
