Pablo Santiago Artime winner in the Cider Shire Trophy

The young Asturian rider gave the starting signal to the second international of Maeza with Dalia and was proclaimed winner of the class with Brisa de Montemeao.

At 10.30 am the main arena of Yeguada Finca Maeza opened again, after a few days of rest, to host the Trofeo Comarca de la Sidra 1.25m, the opening round of the second and last weekend of competition in Sariego. Precisely the very young Asturian rider Pablo Santiago Artime, who later won the class, and his horse Delia were the first to ride the course prepared by the ringmaster Javier Trénor. Four penalty points kept them away from the possible podium options, but Pablo had another chance with his Brisa de Montemeao, mare that last Friday already placed him in second place in the classification. The pair, which competes under the guidance of Ari Gonzalez Barros, finished this time with an impeccable ride without faults, lowering the time to 56 seconds, something that no one else has achieved throughout the morning and therefore guaranteed him the first place in the Trophy.

Álvaro Mateos, rider who also knows the podium of Maeza thanks to his third place last Saturday in the SER Radio Asturias Trophy, keeps his progression and, with 56.96 seconds, finished second next to Worissa S Whinny. The third best classified of the 63 riders participating in the first competition of the day was the Dutch rider Tamara Klop riding Gaudi Vd Molendreef Z.

Sandra Cuesta, Vice President of the Cider Shire, presented the trophies to the first three classified to the rhythm of the Spanish anthem.

Then will begin the ClipMyHorse,tv Trophy with jumps at 1.35m and in the afternoon, at 17.45h will take place the Ascor Trophy, a class at 1.45m that will score for world ranking and will distribute € 25,000 in prizes.
