British victory in the Eurostars Trophy, the most difficult class today in A Coruña and the first category 4 * of this CSI. Guy Williams and Rouge de Ravel were the best of about 40 pairs that jump in the outdoor arena of Casas Novas, with a time of 31.46 seconds. Williams, 48 years old and member of the British national team, comes from winning with this same horse, a stallion 14-year-old SF, the CSI Grand Prix of Mons-Ghlin (Belgium) on July 7th. Before, in June, in Hickstead (United Kingdom), he was also the winner in the CSI4 * and second in a 5 *.
The last performances were decisive for the podium, since the first, second and third place were decided among the participants that came out at the end, and where Brazil claimed its presence with a double podium. And is that along with Williams were Marlon Modolo, with J-Figyelem and 32.27 seconds, and also from Brasil Pedro Veniss, who stopped the clock at 33.08 riding Sun Flower du Theil.
Modolo and Veniss will represent Brazil in the Pan American Games, which start next weekend with a view to qualify for Tokyo 2020. Modolo, 33th of the Longines Raking FEI, achieved in June two classes 5 *, in Cannes and Geesteren, with J-Figyelem, which he has been riding for less than a year.
Lisa Nooren (Netherlands) and Luca Maria Moneta (Italy) were placed fourth and fifth, while the best Spanish classified was Julio Arias, sixth with Reggae du Tillard (34.16 seconds), followed by Pilar Lucrecia Cordón and Galine la Cour Zichelhof (34.26 seconds). Also among the top ten was Paola Amilibia, with Chac Balou (35.04 seconds).
