The British rider achieved the best time in the opening class of the CSI1* A Coruña

The Casas Novas Equestrian Center opened its doors this Friday, December 5, to kick off a new edition of the International Show Jumping Competition, in the year of its twenty-fifth anniversary.

The show began around 14:00 with the first CSI1* class, the Veolia Trophy, set at a height of 1.30m, with 24 binomies. Amelie Gachoud was the best in that class. The young British rider, with only 20 years old, achieved the best time of the class, completing the course in 52.69 seconds with Hello Franklin.

Second place on the podium went to the Mexican rider Felipe Andrés Sierra Trejo. Riding Orta de Reve, the young 18-year-old stopped the clock at 55.32 seconds. Completing the podium was the Spanish rider Pilar Mateos de Urbina, who finished the course in 60.76 seconds with Delia Mouche, securing third place in this opening event.

After the first class of the day, equestrian fans present at Casas Novas on this Friday enjoyed the NH Collection Trophy, and the first two classes of the CSI5*W, the Checkpoint Trophy and the Caixabank Trophy.
