The CSN5* Valladolid starts with the victory of the Galician rider Javier Gonzalez Fraga in the Trofeo Diputación de Valladolid

The CSN5* Valladolid is already underway. Five tests with heights between 1.10m and 1.45m were the starting signal to warm up the three-day program that will take place this weekend at the Real Sociedad Hípica de Valladolid.

The morning program of this first day of the CSN5* Valladolid included three tests.

Equitrack Trophy

The opening day started early, at 9:00 a.m., with the Equitrack Trophy, a 1.10 meter high show jumping event. The competition brought together several local riders, among which the performance of the rider Claudia Hernández Tacón stood out, who won by achieving the fastest course without penalties riding “Quinoa”.

The podium was completed by Irene González Martín, who took second place with “Iris de La Real”, and Manuel Pérez Morillo, third with “Xiara de Olid”.


Casas Novas Trophy

The second test of the day was the Casas Novas Trophy, in which 90 riders participated. The course, with obstacles of 1.20 meters, was contested under the Two Phases Special barometer.

The victory went to the Basque rider Felipe Villanueva López, who, riding “Sin Cinaty”, completed the second phase in an excellent time of 26.04 seconds. He was followed on the podium by the also Basque rider Naiara Fuertes, who secured the second position with “Vannes du Breuil” and a time of 27.77 seconds. Third place went to Gonzalo Menéndez, riding “AGR Divina”, with a time of 28.16 seconds.

HORSE 1 Trophy

The last test of the morning was the Horse 1 Trophy, with a 1.30 meters high course, in which 47 riders participated. The victory went to Gonzalo Menéndez Menéndez, who, riding “Uthope de la Roque”, stopped the stopwatch in 33.46 seconds during the second phase. He was followed on the podium by Javier González Fraga, second with “Nevado”, and Pedro Fernández Mateos, third with “Vaya Cañón CC”.

Diputación de Valladolid Trophy

The first big test of the competition was the Trofeo Diputación de Valladolid, with obstacles at 1.45 meters, where the Galician rider Javier González Fraga repeated his victory as in the 2024 edition. On this occasion, he did it riding “Tik Tak de Pravia”, with the best time in an A time trial with time trial. The podium was completed by the Basque rider Kevin González de Zárate, second, while González Fraga himself also took third place with another of his horses, thus signing an outstanding double presence on the podium.

VOLVO Trophy

The first test of the afternoon was the Volvo Trophy, with obstacles of 1.35 meters, which brought together 69 riders. The fastest was Luis Jesús Escobar riding “Gangster Montghotier”, who won by completing the course in 63.24 seconds. The second position went to Ibone Ibáñez, winner of this same test in the previous edition, this time with “Bambino D'Assmeont”, with a time of 64.69 seconds. The podium was closed by Álvaro González de Zárate, third with “Krystal's Beauty B”, stopping the clock in 66.59 seconds.
