Kevin González de Zárate and Inés Hernández, winners of the Spanish National Show Jumping Leagues

Real Club Pineda de Sevilla hosted the fifth and final stage of the National Show Jumping League this weekend, a decisive event to determine the respective winners of the Silver and Gold categories.

The circuit concluded with Kevin González de Zárate (Silver) and Inés Hernández (Gold) as the overall winners.

Both arrived in Seville as leaders and, although they did not win the qualifying Grand Prix at the CSN5* in Seville, their results were enough to maintain the advantage they held.

The Verisure Grand Prix of the Silver League, with 1.40m obstacles, was contested by 69 combinations at the Seville venue and was decided in a jump-off involving thirteen riders. Luis Ortiz Agüera took the victory with “Hvedholms Cashew”. Behind the Cordoban rider were Pello Elorduy with “Chacloubal” and Uxue Arruza with “Clarin de Llamosas”.

In the Gold League, the qualifying class was the Real Maestranza de Caballería Grand Prix, contested by 41 horses, of which eight qualified for the jump-off. Victory went to a highly promising young rider, Basque rider Uxue Arruza, who was competing in her first 1.50m Grand Prix and did not let the opportunity slip away, securing the win with two clear rounds aboard “Hit Rock de Bornival Z”.

The Aretxalde rider faced strong competition, beating the González de Zárate brothers against the clock. Álvaro finished second with “Casa Diva PS”, while Kevin was third with “Djoural de Lizet”.

Following the results of the CSN5* at Real Club Pineda, which brought together 400 horses over three days of competition, the final standings of the Silver League – Verisure Trophy – were led by Kevin González de Zárate with 134.5 points. Felipe Villanueva Alonso finished second with 126 points, while Álvaro González de Zárate was third with 122.

In the Gold League, Inés Hernández Yanguas was the winner with 141 points, while Kevin González de Zárate finished second with 137. His brother Álvaro was third with 130.

“Nemo de Porceyo”, ridden by Inés Hernández Yanguas, was the most consistent horse throughout the leagues, while the award for the best-ranked rider in the younger categories went to Uxue Arruza, and the award for the best U25 rider went to Felipe Villanueva.
