LGCT GNP Mexico Jumping starts with a Spanish triumph in the first class of the CSI5*, Broxel Trophy. Eduardo Álvarez Aznar is in top form and he is showing it. After his success in Gothenburg, the Spanish rider repeated his triumph, for the second consecutive year, in the first class of the CSI5* of the LGCT GNP Mexico Jumping with “Uqualin du Saulcy”. Elizabeth Madden, the best woman rider positioned in the Longines Ranking FEI was at the gates of the triumph.
Massimo Dutti Trophy, the last class of the day, had a Colombian flavor with Carlos Lopez’ victory with his super fast 11-year-old mare “Ulhane de Conde”. The experienced Belgian rider Jerome Guery with “Celvin” finished below the Colombian. Third place was for the young and competitive Irish rider Bertram Allen with his faithful mare “Molly Malone”
First class of the Global Champions Tour for Valkensward United.
There were seven out of sixteen teams that overcame the course of the renowned Spanish course designer, Javier Trénor. Valkensward United, formed by the Italian Alberto Zorzi and the Irish Bertran Allen, won the first scoring test for the GCL in this Mexican venue.
The impressive grass arena of Campo Marte was witness to the first day of this second leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, in which the Mexican Antonio Maurer riding “Chacstara” made a magnificent journey that led him to victory in the first class of the of the CSI2*, Reserva de la Familia Trophy.
