German Marcus Ehning and Belgian Jos Lansink complete the podium with a second and third place.

Valencia has warmly welcomed the grand class with an absolute sold out at the beginning of the season of the Global Champions Tour. At the Grand Prix Spain -Trofeo Banc Sabadell, in which riders first rank for the prestigious equestrian tournament, French Timothee Anciaume has been the champion of an intense competition that has kept the public on tenterhooks waiting for the final result.

After a first round, only 18 contestants were able to go into the second one, in which finally only Anciaume, Ehning, and Lansink were classified to play the jump-off. After an exciting struggle, Anciaume closed with zero faults on De Fetan in a time of 45 seconds.

Second position, however, for Marcus Ehning riding Sabrina in 45.32 seconds.
Some bad luck for Jos Lansink, who in spite of his fabulous time of 42.95 seconds on Valentina Van T Heike, one rail down pushed him to the third position.

After the award ceremony held by the city of Valencia major Rita Barberá, together with the President of the Banc Sabadell Josep Oliu, a press conference took place in the facilities in which everyone has pointed out the amazing welcome of the public, the beauty of the venue, and the excellent weather conditions.

Moreover, the winner has commented his victory: “It is my first time in the GCT and for a first time is not a bad thing to be the winner” he joked.
