THE TOSCANA TOUR RETURNS IN THE SPRING OF 2010
16/11/2009
Once again the Toscana Tour returns this coming spring opening its doors to the world equestrian community. The competition most appreciated by Italian and foreign riders will be a four-week event: the show will start next year on the 17th of March and it will end on the 11th of April.
The schedule includes four consecutive CSI3* with a tour for young horses and classes for every experience and ability: a Bronze tour with classes from 1.15 to 1.30m including Children and Juniors, a Silver tour from 1.30 to 1.40m, and a Gold tour, for the most experienced riders, with classes from 1.30 to 1.50m.
Apart from the 125,000€ to be awarded every week, during the last week of the tour, there are finals scheduled that will award an additional 109,000€ in prize money, to be divided amongst a final per each age group of the young horses tour, and a final per each tour of the CSI3*.
Fourteen classes qualify for the FEI Ranking List, thirteen with a prize money of 20,000€ and the final of the Gold tour awards 75,000€ in prize money.
The prize money of the tour is quite significant and comes to a grand total of 609,000€.
The entry fees, with VAT included, are accessible to everybody: 1,000 € for the young horses tour, 1,500 € for the Bronze Tour and 1,600 € for the Silver and Gold Tour.
Riders will definitely appreciate one of the most important aspects of the Toscana Tour: some classes of the Bronze, Silver, Gold and even the 7- year old horses competition will take place in the well-known Boccaccio grass arena of Arezzo Equestrian Centre.
A long list of course designers, captained by Frank Rothenberger, will build the courses of the Vasari, Dante and Boccaccio arenas, and Rothenberger himself will have the opportunity to demonstrate his ability creating the courses of the last week of the show.
There will also be a veterinary and physiotherapeutic clinic available for all of the horses during this important event.
