THE TELEFÓNICA GRAND PRIX GOES TO AUSTRIAN FRÜHMANN

Thomas Frühmann and his magnificent horse Sixth Sense jumped to victory in the Telefónica Grand Prix, the most important competition of the International Show Jumping in La Coruna.
Frühmann, who had to pick up his prize on foot as his horse Sixth Sense had already been sent to the stables to rest and his stand- in horse refused him, managed to finish an exciting round after a fantastic performance in just 45.03 seconds. Runner-up Karina Johannpeter from Brazil finished in 49.76 seconds.
This was an especially difficult course and only 4 out of the 47 riders taking part managed to complete it with 0 penalties.
SERGIO ALVAREZ MOYA WINS THE NH HOTELES TROPHY
The first Spanish win in A Coruña CSI 4* outdoor edition goes to Sergio Alvarez Moya on Sirius.
Alvarez Moya who currently holds the 1st. place in the Spanish and the 20th in the International rankings , managed to complete his round against the clock in this very tightly fought competition in just 53.46 seconds, closely followed by the Egyptian Karim El Zoghby and his mount Dunoair Uleik in 53.51.
ROELOF BRIL WINNER OF THE PROSEGUR TROPHY
Dutch Roelof Bril and his ride Verisja are the winners of the Prosegur Trophy after completing a very fast course in today´s opening competition at the A Coruña Casas Novas CSI**** outdoor edition.
Mr Bril who finished in fifth place in one of the previous day´s competitions mentioned that in this occasion having performed in the last place had given him the advantage of knowing what he was up against.
Mr Bril also remarked on the good shape of the Dutch team and their mounts, and that he was confident this was going to become evident in tomorrow´s finale.
