This year the prize falls on to His Highness the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The Hemisfèric in the City of the Arts and Sciences welcomed the official dinner from the GP Spain –Trofeo Banc Sabadell of the Global Champions Tour.

An event in which the Oxer Award was given, a prize that every year the venue’s organization hands in to recognize the work done towards the equestrian world.

This year, the Oxer fell on to His Highness the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice-President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and ruler of Dubai. However, it was his oldest son, Heir of Dubai His Highness the Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and President of the National Olympic Committee, the one in charge to pick up the prize from the Oxer Sport President, Carles Vilarrubí and other members from the board of directors Álvaro Arrieta and Pablo García Piqueres.

Also, during the dinner a video was projected in order to honor the recently passed away, José Antonio Samarach, who held the office of President of the International Olympic Committee for many years.

Likewise, a trophy was given to the owner of the winning horse of the GP Spain -Trofeo Banc Sabadell, Gregori Mars, who received the prize from the President of the Jumping Owners Club, Christian Baillet.

Numerous important figures gathered at the official dinner, among which some stand out, such as Athina Onassis and husband Álvaro de Miranda, Cayetano Martínez de Irujo, Charlotte Casiraghi, Marta Ortega, the riders competing at the Global Champions Tour and diverse political authorities like Consellera of Tourism, Belén Juste and the sports city councilor, Cristóbal Grau, among others.
