THE GRAND PRIX OF SPAIN REACHES A RECORD NUMBER OF MEDIA EXPOSURE
28/09/2009
The success of the first edition of the Global Champions Tour in Spain, held in Valencia last May, has been reaffirmed by the information offered by the Acceso Group consultancy company in relation to the return on investment achieved by the various sponsors of the event.
According to the Acceso Group report, the economic valuation of the media coverage of the event (including television and print media) comes to 16.5 million Euros, a record in the history of equestrian events organized in Spain.
The importance of this particular equestrian competition and its unique location, inside the City of Arts and Sciences, contributed to the fact that the Grand Prix of Spain was covered in over twenty international and national TV channels, which meant media exposure in over a 100 countries of Europe, the United States, Asia and Africa. More specifically, the Acceso Group report was based on the analysis of close to one hundred TV references and more than 130 mentions in print media.
In this first edition, the Grand Prix of Spain was sponsored by large companies such as Rolex, Iberia, Repsol, Movistar, Sabadell Atlántico, El Corte Inglés, Massismo Dutti, Coca-Cola, NH Hoteles or USP Hospitales, among others. All received a record ROI (return on investment) in the history of equestrian events.
Next season, the Spanish venue of the Global Champions Tour will be held again in the same facilities from the 6 – 8 of May.
