Superb round in the preparatory class for the GP Spain – Banco Sabadell Trophy that will be held tomorrow. German Daniel Deusser and Dutch Maikel Van Der Vleuten, completed the podium.
Spanish Manuel Añón finally ended triumphant at the NH Hoteles Trophy, today’s most important class, and a warm-up for the forthcoming GP Spain- Banco Sabadell Trophy, that will take place tomorrow starting at 5.00 pm.
At the NH Hoteles Trophy, a total of 52 combinations were participating, but only the 18 that had no penalization were eligible for the jump-off.
In the second and decisive round, eighteen year-old Añón obtained the victory riding Baldo DS in a thrilling competition that had the public on tenterhooks awaiting the final result. With 43.64 seconds and no penalization young Añón ended with the best time which gave him the win.
“Baldo has jumped very well, we both were hungry for the victory” – Añón declared. He has also announced that tomorrow he will jump with other horse and hopes for “a good result, although I am very satisfied with the one that I obtained today”.
The combination of German Daniel Deusser and Cabreado S.E has placed second in 44.29 seconds. The podium was completed by Dutch Maikel Van Der Vleuten riding G And C Flash putting in a time of 44.50 seconds.
Besides the impressive sport’s spectacle , in the competition there were important figures like Athina Onassis, Carlota Casiraghi and H.R.H Infanta Doña Elena, who came in late afternoon to train for tomorrow’s class.
