KARIM EL ZOGHBY: 100% SPEED

The egipcian rider Karim El Zoghby and Dunoair Urona won the Lacera Speed and Handiness Class with a timing of 78 seconds.
The sixth class of Gijón International Jumping Show is a class where skills and speed are specially important. Karim El Zoghby and Dunoair Urona have done a tremendous job and have marked a timing of 78 seconds and one down. The Belgian rider Pieter Devos and his mare Dorenta were second with a timing of 78.49 seconds. Julio Arias and Roger Moore B, Spanish rider from Asturias, finished in third position.
The riders that will participate in the Speed Final are the best ones from first class, third class and this last sixth class of the CSIO Gijón.
A VERY FAST COUPLE
The Egiptian was very happy that he could win even with one down. “A victory is a victory, I was lucky to win the race even with one down”, he said. The winner also recognized that “all the riders are very good, and I like to compete against them because we make each other better. You always have to try to win”.
The final ranking is as follows: Karim El Zoghby and Dunoair Urona (winner), Pieter Devos and Dorenta (2nd place), Julio Arias and Roger Moore B (3rd place), Sergio Álvarez Moya and Sirius (4th place) and Captain David O’Brien and Mo Chroi (5th place).
