Harrie Smolders, Jessica Kürten and Jos Verlooy were the winners of the three trophies of the first day competition in Casas Novas.
Harrie Smolders from The Netherlands and his mare Regina-Z winners of the Azkar Trophy in the A Coruña Casas Novas CSI 4* competition after completing a round in 60.54 seconds and 0 penalties.
A shared second place went to Austrian rider Stefan Eder riding Chilli Van Dijk in 61.10 seconds and 0 points and to the Spaniard Sergio Alvarez Moya and his mount Wisconsin 111, also in 61.10 seconds and 0 points. French rider Julien Epaillard riding Champs El Elysees came in fourth in 61.91 seconds and 0 points.
NEW VICTORY FOR JESSICA KÜRTEN IN CASAS NOVAS
The La Caixa Trophy goes to Irish rider Jessica Kürten and her mount VDL Harley after a hard-fought jump off in31.98 seconds and 0 points. This is her first win in this outdoor edition of A Coruña´s Casas Novas 4* CSI.
The second place went to Erika Lickhammer from Sweden and her ride Hip Hop 1045 with a time of 32.67 seconds and 0 points. The Swiss Pius Schwizer finished third with Dundee V/D Dwerse Hagen in 33.26 seconds and 0 points. The fourth place went to Dutch rider Harrie Smolders with Exquis Powerfee in 34.02 seconds and 0 points and the fifth place went to Spanish rider Ismael García Roque and his ride Loreal D’Utah in 34.26 seconds and 0 points.
A VERY YOUNG JOS VERLOOY WINS THE MÓSTOLES INDUSTRIAL
16 year-old Jos Verlooy finishes in first place A Coruña CSI 4* competition, outdoor edition.
At least 69 binomials took part in this inaugural round The Móstoles Industrial Trophy. The prize went to belgian Jos Verlooy and his mount Tía María, after completing a full round in this 2- phase competition in 21.69 seconds.
The Egyptian Karim El Zoghby and his ride Jument Dufee came in second with zero penalties and 21.74 seconds.
The third place went to South Africa´s Alexandra Carter and her horse Wexx in 22.58 seconds and zero penalties. Jessica Kürten with her ride Zíngara managed a fourth place in 22.68 seconds and Dutch Roelof Brilla along with Verisja came in fifth in 22.72 seconds.
