Double Spanish victory in two out of the three classes held this morning that counted with a great audience.

Spectators at the grand stand as well as those surrounding the arena were able to enjoy the Spanish riders’ performances. Carlota Villarrubí, Luis Cabanas and Marc Boncompte were clearly today’s main figures.

The City of the Arts and Sciences Trophy, an accumulator class, has ended with Carlota Vilarrubí’s victory, who managed to make a magnificent round on Meggy Du Mont. Vilarrubí has overcome with success all the obstacles and achieved a record time of 45.13 seconds.

British Joanna Tarne and her partner Casper Z have managed second place after finishing the round in 48.31 seconds. The podium was completed by Luis Cabanas riding mare Zelly putting in a time of 49.39 seconds.

The other double Spanish victory was at the Coca-Cola Trophy in which Marc Boncompte placed second on Jovely Z De Champion closing in 56.93 seconds. Once again, Luis Cabanas placed third riding Irresistible in 61.35 seconds. However, none of them was able to improve the stopwatch settled by British Lauley Squibb on Lara Joy II in a time of 53.39 seconds.

ITALIAN MATTEO GIUNTI LEADER AT THE PRECVAL TROPHY
Italian Matteo Giunti obtained both first and second place at the Precval Trophy competing with two different horses. He achieved the victory riding Bacardi Orange putting in the best time (59.75 seconds). Another great performance the one of his other horse, Nadiro Di Capocontro, finishing the round in 59.98 seconds. Russian Olga Chechina riding Amsterdam completed the podium.

GP SPAIN -BANCO SABADELL TROPHY, THIS AFTERNOON AT 5.00 pm.
The most important competition of the entire weekend, GP Spain- Banco Sabadell Trophy, will take place this afternoon starting at 5.00 pm. The best horsemen and amazons of the international ranking will fight for the championship in this class that counts towards the GTC.
